Kerry-Anne set up Barbara’s Fund in memory of her mother Barbara Fitzmaurice who sadly passed away in May 2008.
On Sunday 29th March 2009, Kerry-Anne held a sponsored 5km fun run on Epsom Downs Racecourse. There was also a 1km route for children and all participants were encouraged to raise as much as possible through sponsorship.
The event was great fun and a huge success with over 170 people taking part. Rarer Cancers Forum is deeply grateful to Kerry-Anne and her helpers and to all of you people, adults and children, who participated in the run and were so generously supported by friends and relations. A total of over £4,000 has been raised which is an absolutely fantastic result and we are thrilled.
