Helen Tyrrell

Rarer Cancers Forum Virtual Flower Award 2007/11/21

Helen did a sponsored tandem skydive and raised £543 for RCF.

Helen was only three years old when her mum died of cancer and she says this made her realise the consequences of what this illness can do to the people we care about the most. This is why she wanted to raise money for charity and she very kindly decided to dedicate the funds to Rarer Cancers Forum. Helen did her skydive in the summer while visiting her mum's sister in Perth, Australia. Helen is really scared of heights so this skydive was a real challenge for her.

Helen raised £418 for Rarer Cancers Forum and with Gift Aid the amount will be £543.  This is a great achievement and we are tremendously grateful to Helen and all of you who supported her. As for Helen, she simply says: "I feel very privileged to help such a wonderful charity".

Helen waiting to dive for the RCF!
