The Rarer Cancers Forum Annual Conference will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2008 in Room 7 (2nd floor), King's Fund, 11–13 Cavendish Square, London W1G 0AN.

The Conference is free and is open to all people who have (or have had) a rarer cancer and to their families. You do not have to be a member of Rarer Cancers Forum to attend - members and non-members are all are very welcome!  Help with travelling expenses is available.

Registration and coffee are at 10.30am and the main topics of the day are as follows:

  • Coping with the psychological impact of cancer - Dr Kate Jenkins, Lead Clinician for the Psychological Support Team for People with Cancer and their Families, Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.
  • Complementary therapy support in cancer care - Dr Peter Mackereth, Clinical Lead, Living with Cancer Services, Christie Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. (During the lunch break, Karen Loxton and her team from the London Oncology Clinic will provide the opportunity for you to try out some complementary therapies).
  • Campaigning issues relevant to people with rarer cancers.

Please come if you can - we'd love to see you. The more people we have standing with us, the more we shall be able to do to ensure that the voices of people with rarer cancers are heard loud and clear and that their needs and those of their families are addressed.
