Hannah's sister, Claire, decided weeks ago that she would run the Bristol Half Marathon on Sunday 17 September, to raise funds for the RCF. Then last week, when she was out training, she was knocked down by a car on a Pelican crossing. She was badly injured but the good news is that she's making really good progress.

You may have thought that was the end of Claire's fundraising hopes. Not a bit of it.  Her sister Hannah has taken up the challenge and is running in Claire's place! Of course, Hannah has had no time to prepare but she says "I have decided that in this instance time is not of the essence and I am aiming for a finish in under 6 hours". She may have a spot of lunch on the way round!

Hannah says "The Rarer Cancers Forum is a charity very close to Claire's and my heart as our beloved Aunt has had a great deal of support from them in her fight against bone and lung cancer and cancer of the aorta".
