Cancer Reform Strategy - submission from the RCF

The Rarer Cancer Foundation's submission to the Cancer Reform Strategy submitted this week.

In our response, we suggest ways in which the performance management of cancer services should be aligned with the reforms set out in Equity and Excellence: Liberating the NHS.

The response is based closely on the recommendations that we highlighted in our pre-election publication 'Towards the best in Europe', including the following priority areas:

  • Encourage earlier diagnosis
  • Delivery better treatment
  • Improve Patient Care
  • Provide greater transparency on the quality of care
  • Increase research into rarer cancers
